Winters Mystery Blue Hatchling Xulith
[1]Winters touch smooths it's way over the hide of this blue, his stately form chilly with the icy hues that often comes out in the light. Chalcedony blue sweeps up over his head, paler crescents hanging beneath wide set, intelligent eyes before dripping slowly along the sleek confines of his neck. Wide set shoulders are touched by snowier hues, nearly translucent if it were not for the brighter base that keeps the paler from vanishing all together. Grand wings, with blue topaz spars, swing outward to allow the icy tracings of silvery blue to show in the veins that decorate both spars and sails. Over back and hindquarters, legs both fore and rear, the blues stay the same until they reach his feet, and such feet they are with deep sapphires caressing them right down to the inky royal blue that holds tightly to his claws. The tail that finishes this wintery blue is long, rather thick at the base then rapidly thinning out to near nothingness before being capped by a sharp spade.

Harmonious Ensemble Egg
Simple elegance comes with muted colors of reds and golds, weaving pathways of soft grays mottled with shadows of darker hue. Where one would expect to see round curves this egg seems to hold sharper corners, it's peak seems sharp nearly pointed with the play of slate hues against a background of summery blue. Across one sweeping side there is nothing but pristine blues with ripples as if an unseen hand has touched it to send out waves across its surface.
Impression Message
The chilly breezes of winter wrap around your mind, cooling you right to the soles of your feet, taking away all thoughts of the hatching sands as the young mind makes itself right at home. « Jigran! » comes the warm baritone voice flecked with golds and reds, « No, J'rani is who you are. » A pause then a burst of warm laughter. « I am Xulith, and we have much in the way of your art to make. » The little blue looks up at you, a squeaky croon comes from his muzzle as your belly begins to burble with hunger along with his. « Can we find food before we begin? FInding you has made me very hungrey and my right wing does surely itch. » He does not complain but merely states these things to you as he nudges you again. « J'rani and Xulith, it sound just right. »
Personality
You will find out that from the moment Xuliths mind joins with yours that he does not complain only states things in such a way that you know just what he needs if you don't feel it before hand. By far this blue is not icey and cold like his coloring, infact Xulith is a warm one when it comes to you and those he seems to become close to.
As a hatchling he will do things that the others in the class do, but will always find time to be right there to encourage you as you draw and sketch, paint and create things. There will be times when you find yourself being the encourager instead of the encouraged for he won't be the quickest when it comes to those first hunts or flights. Xulith will catch the beast and make his flights, it'll just take him a little more time and a few pep talks from you to keep him working at it until he's as natural at it as he should be.
As an adult he'll take to fighting thread with his wing as he should, being rather talented at getting those hard to get clumps and always pushing himself to the point of near exhaustion before returning to the weyr to rest and clean-up. While flaming thread will always be part of daily living, you are his main reason for living. Being there to keep you going as you keep him going, that's what he lives for.
Greens, oh beautiful greens. Mating flights will be one thing he will excell at for his agility will allow him to make those sharp turns and fast paces ascents and descents. Losses of flights will hit him hard but that won't stop him from trying again, and again.

Inspiration
The theme for this clutch were places on the World Heritage site and Xuliths egg was based on the Summer Palace, an Imperial Garden in Beijing - http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/880
As for his name and desc well…his name came to the builder from out of no where while his desc was based mostly on winter, the cooler tones and outward chilliness that comes with it.
I hope you enjoy playing him as much as I the builder enjoyed creating him for you.
